Delhi Temperature Reaches 47 Degrees, IMD Issues Orange Alert

Record temperatures are being reported from North and Central India.The capital, Delhi sizzled as temperature reached 47 degrees on Wednesday with the Met department predicting a light dust storm next week with no rains. Ahmedabad too recorded the hottest day of the decade at 45 degree celcius. Fatephur in Uttar Pradesh boiled at 47 degree celcius. But the hottest place in the planet was West Rajasthan with Bikaner recording the highest temperature in the decade, crossing 50 degrees. Churu and Bundi in Rajasthan also recorded 49 degrees celcius. Meanwhile a heavy rainfall is expected to lash Andhra Pradesh, Telengana and Odisha due to a cyclonic storm 'Roanu' which may intensify into a severe cyclonic storm. The Meteorological department has issued alerts to the three states. Fishermen have been advised no to venture into sea along and off the Andhra coast during the next 48 hours.
